I highly recommend “7 Keys to Prophetic Maturity: The Practice of the Prophetic, Vol. 1”. It is an incredible adjunct to the Bible to help guide even the most seasoned prophets to a higher lever of maturity and intimacy in their service to the Lord. “7 Keys to Prophetic Maturity” can help you avoid some of the pitfalls associated with prophetic ministry, and ministry in general. Experience can be a cruel teacher, but it is usually less painful to learn from the experience of others, which is something brother Sam Medina was inspired to communicate very well.I received my copies of “7 Keys to Prophetic Maturity: The Practice of the Prophetic, Vol. 1” and “7 Keys to Prophetic Protocol: The Practice of the Prophetic, Vol. 2”, and even though the books stand alone, I recommend that you get them as a pair.
There are many prophets of the Lord in this world but very few demonstrate the level of maturity brother Sam presented. Prophetic maturity is not based solely on prophetic accuracy, or how long a person has been involved in prophetic ministry. But rather, prophetic maturity is based on character, which determines how well a prophet represents the Lord he or she professes to love and serve. I highly recommend that you get copies of the books if you have not done so, both for yourself and to be a blessing to other ministers who can benefit from the information.

I found this book yo be clear, with lots of good sense suggestions. The author is practical in his suggestions and also offers prayers for the implementation of what he writes about. It was refreshing to read some of his observations. I will surely wad it again.
Too many prophecy books ignore, or, at best, "gloss over," character. In this book, as it is to God, it is central. God makes the man before the ministry. Would be a great local church training guide.
This book is short but powerful! Be ready to be stretched and also to find out some hidden things that you have in your heart. It hurts to realize some of things that I've been doing wrong but I thank God for leading me to this book. This is a must read if you want to mature in the prophetic arena.
I was called to be a prophet as the author says in my mothers womb but I cannot say that I have perfected these 7 keys yet. This author has done an excellent job with these keys.
The first key is not speaking too much
For many years I talked too much and I always wondered why people didn't want to know me. I was intense, angry, highly opinionated and loved to argue with people. I was just not a nice person but I was a prophet in training. With inner healing and the revelation of grace set free in my heart, I stopped talking so much. This has had a dramatic impact on the amount of people that love me and want to spend time with me.
Sam, the author tactfully with scripture addresses this point of running off at the mouth and encourages the reader if they want to mature to rein in the incessant talking. It was sobering and refreshing at the same time. I still could do with hearing that message.
The second key was to master the art of watchful silence
So many of us are busy doing things, so many of us are caught up in the world with all its worries and concerns that we don't still our mind and be in a place where God can speak to us. This chapter talks about be positioned to hear more clearly off God. Though I am pretty good with this one, I can also improve and this key was important to hear.
From the first two keys I can tell you its well worth the purchase price. A lot of thought and wisdom went into this book and if you are called as a prophet or you are prophetic, I think you need to read the whole seven keys and do a little improving of yourself with God's help and grace.

This is a timely wake up call...my desire to entertain people as a self-proclaimed "stand-up- sar-comic" leads me down a slippery slope to destruction...thank you for a clear and direct reminder to "tame my tongue" so my words can be used by God to breathe life not "chaos" into those around me. It's time to stop playing with fire and fan the flame of God's Holy Spirit.
This was great insight on how to conduct yourself, first and most importantly as a servant in the kingdom of God, then in the office of a prophet. A great reminder of the purpose and the call of a true prophet, is to always remain humble and minister out of love. Pratice...does make perfect!
There were quite a few of duplicate and misspelled words (constructive observation) which required one to repeat the reading of a sentence, in order to gain the correct understanding of what was intended. With that said, better proof reading would be an easy fix. In doing things in the spirit of excellence and to the glory of God...I would hate to see this great work rejected, because of minor issues.
Overall, a great read that I would gladly recommend to anyone who desires an understanding, of how to maturely operate in office of the prophet.

This book is perfect for all prophets and prophetesses; but also an important guide for leaders that are developing prophetic people through their ministries... An excellent book that all prophetic saints should read It will help prophetic people to look into the mirror of God's Word and see the true reflection of their lives. If they want to be all that they can be in Christ, this information is critical... I thank Sam Medina for his offering to this subject. It has helped me tremendously, because I work with many prophetic individuals in mentorship and development. The material can easily be applied to any Christian Walk.
